With awards from the Seattle Master Builder's Association, the American Society of Interior Designers, and the Seattle Design Center, all that was missing from Loraine Gilroy's acclaimed Bellevue Interior Design studio was a permanent address -- in cyberspace.
Gilroy, like many of her Puget Sound interior design contemporaries, had not yet taken the leap from interior space planning, lighting and color design in the physical world to the virtual world of the Web. Yes, she uses technology as a creative tool to help clients preview color, texture and space planning options on paper or computer screen before they appear on their floors and walls, their tiles or their roofs. Now it was time to put the results of those efforts online.
With the concept of creating a Northwest design showcase for "Complete Interior Design -- From Concept to Liveability" -- and presenting work for new construction as well as remodels, Gilroy turned to colleague Brandon McRae of McRae Graphic Design to help spotlight the role of the Interior Designer and the process that is followed in creating interior design solutions for Northwest Homeowners and Builders. |
